Theater

Summer theater in San Diego means new seasons at all the major companies in town – as well as some of the up-and-coming alternative companies.

In this issue:

Lucy Komisar reports in from New York with the latest productions from Broadway and beyond, while Charlene Baldridge is now covering San Diego's theater.

Finally, we note the passing of Gregory Peck – best known for his work on screen, he was also a co-founder of the La Jolla Playhouse in 1947 and was serving as honorary co-chair of their fund-raising effort when he passed in June. We refer you to Jessica Padilla's humorous and heartwarming story of meeting the great actor.
