Volume II, Issue III Autumn 2003

Fiction

Welcome to our Fall 2003 fiction section.

We're pleased to present Ken Kalman and some more Dan McClenaghan this issue.

Ken has written a clever little memory piece that draws on the Cold War for its setting, and calls into question all kinds of assumptions.

In this issue:

Ken Kalman
Evidence of Innocence

Dan McClenaghan:
Mortification Blues

Torch Songs

We first ran across Dan McClenaghan's Loma Alta in THE BRIDGE Illustrated, a now-defunct literary quarterly published out of the avocado groves of Fallbrook, Calif. Dan's working up a new batch of the affairs of Ruth and Ellis Leahy – in the meantime, we're re-printing two of Dan's stories from THE BRIDGE Illustrated.
