the whereabouts of all claims
to knowledge about
life lust and
lost loves

here at the podium in a major policy address
the sea captain with a pink
admiral's hat
pulled down around his ears

down around the parlor
in the dead of night

in the great chair
that thing is met

sparkling wine chilled
