Cold and frozen
fury torments
bare broken limbs.
Wind, hard, fast
threatening to topple
old and stubborn roots.
Piling high
upon the branches
thick and heavy
covering
surrounding
flowing over and dripping
off the ends,
weighing the great arms
down to the ground.
Weather certain,
gaining strength,
overpowering growth of the ages
forcing unknown changes.
